Visiting Russia 04 to 16/05/08

I'm a French lindy hopper. I will visit Moscou and Saint Petersbourg from 04 to 16/05/08 with my girlfriend.

It would be a great experience to go to lindy hop party there. Can you tell me if there are some events scheduled.

In Moscow we usually have big parties on Saturday at cafe Buff (Lesnaya str, 59):

Also we have party on Wednesday at club Voodoo Lounge (Sr Tishinskij pereulok, 5/7):

Entrance is free.

And while getting warmer, there will be probably open air parties on Sunday.

In St. Petersburg there are also parties on Saturday as far as I know, but I don't know exactly. Try asking guys from Spb swing club:

Thanks for the fast answer, and sorry for my late response...

I have double checked dates of the visit as it will be a tour from Moscou to St Pertersbourg, and it appears I will stay in Moscou only from sunday 04 arriving in the afternoon hopefully, to tuesday 06/04 afternoon. So that 's a pity I can not attend any event.

I'm sure it will be very nice to visit your country, but for lindy hop, it will not be for this time. However, if there are some other event launched within the time, feel free to tell me...

Saint-Petersburg also has some places for swingdancing.
The main is Casa Latina. Not sure if they have english version of site.

Actually we have a big swing camp in Kiev on 1-4 May, so most of Moscow and Spb lindyhoppers will there that time
But anyway, enjoy your stay in Russia!
